cellulite also known as orange peal Mesotherapy is a new type of treatment that is beginning to gain currency in Europe and South America for its anti cellulite properites. Mesotherapy against cellulite may be an effecitve treatment for the disorder.
However, the procedure has not yet gained complete acceptance in the United States and has met with great resistance from plastic surgeon boards. This may be in part because plastic surgeons see mesotherapy as a threat to their own practices since it provides something of an alternative to traditional plastic surgery. In this article, we'll take a closer look at mesotherapy against cellulite and all that it entails.
Mesotherapy is a generic term for a group of procedures in which some sort of natural or artificial solution is injected into pockets of fat between the muscles. In mesotherapy against cellulite, this procedure is specifically performed in order to kill the fat cells so that they will dissolve and be absorbed naturally into the blood stream.
This is still a relatively experimental procedure even though it has been done in Europe for years, so the long term effects are still in question.
Proponents of mesotherapy against cellulite claim that it is a viable alternative to full scale plastic surgery which can be done as a "procedure" as opposed to a "surgery". The effectiveness of mesotherapy against cellulite dramatically increases when combined with other treatments, especially anti cellulite massage. However, whether or not the effects caused by mesotherapy can persist for years after the treatment is still an open question. Once several more years have gone by, we will be able to see more definitely just how effective this procedure is in the long term.
Luckily, the side effects associated with mesotherapy against cellulite are mild. They include bruising and mild soreness. The soreness should subside after only a couple of days while the bruising should not last longer than one to two weeks.
Since mesotherapy is such a new technique it is best to at least consider other alternatives before embarking on it. Two milder solutions are anti cellulite massage and anti cellulite cremes.
This treatment is all natural and has no side effects. A gentle massage is used by a therapist to disrupt the adhesion of fat particles to spaces in between muscle tissue. This allows the skin to smooth out and encourages the excess fat to drain naturally into the blood stream and encourages circulation.
This second treatment is usually used in conjunction with anti cellulite massage and consists in rubbing a special creme against the skin that causes it to become smoother and disrupts the chemical composition of fat molecules. Anti cellulite creme is almost always used after a mesotherapy treatment in order to increase its effectiveness, especially because the fat deposits are more vulnerable at this time than at any other.
